What we offer

The UK Friends offers information, advice and contacts to people considering a walking journey in the Middle East and also runs occasional educational and walking events in the UK to highlight the importance of walking, hospitality and story sharing.

If you would like to learn more about the network, join or plan a walk, there are detailed maps and information provided by the various trail associations which are in network, including The Palestine Heritage Trail, The Sinai Trail, and The Jordan Trail. There are also many other places that are accessible through their community of local guides.

You can also look at  information  provided by the Abraham Path Initiative, whose support over 15 years lies at the heart of many of these trails and whose mission is also behind our work in the UK.

If you would like to talk to someone in the UK about travelling the Path, contact us and we will put you in touch with one of our referees – people we know who have been to the Middle East, walked sections of the path and are happy to talk to you about their experience and provide advice on planning your trip.

Although we are not a travel agency or registered tour group, we have also led self-organised group walks to so that UK visitors can experience walking and hospitality in the region,  and we hope to do this again, when the current travel restrictions arising from COVID 19 are eased. If you would like to join one of our groups – or even organise one yourself – get in touch.

We are also happy to run events and information sessions for other groups to find out more. Contact us to arrange a  talk or event with you.
